Have you ever dreamed to lie on the sand on a beach or just anywhere during night time just to watch the moon? Nothing special really, its just like a white round figure, sometimes during childhood, they say that it was made up of cheese. But have you tried looking at it with a special someone, a someone that when beside you, you feel like there is no earth, nor heaven or hell, it's just the both of you. It's like you don't care what would happen next, and just keep on wishing that the magic moment will last forever.

It's like a feeling when you hear a love song being played by your someone. Especially when that song was composed by Glenn Frey. 

Sometimes the youth is being invaded my modern love songs and forget about the past singers who are really responsible for the music of today. The author himself is one of those young lads. 

By just listening to Glenn Frey's music, it's like pretending to wish one's self to time travel back to the 80's and enjoy listening to their great music. Dreams can sometimes allure us by mixing reality and fantasy. In dreams we can be warriors, heroes and sometimes be villains. But if it comes to Extreme Love Fantasy, fantasy itself can give more room for reality. 

Many of us think if it comes on choosing the right one to love is so hard, making us to give up and not to do anything but look at a particular part of a ceiling, or a spot, and imagine things in which reality cannot exist. But as what they say, sometimes Fantasy can also give room for reality.

THE BOY AND THE ELF

It was a cool day then, when a little creature appeared in front of his eyes, a creature in which was so familiar, its like he has seen this creature, this beautiful creature a couple of years ago. With eyes doing a glassy stare, yes its that creature, he thought to himself. The creature, so impossible to touch, and to look at, standing here in front of him... yet it cannot be reached. only words with a different language eyes must understand. Its smile flashed among his eyes, which made him grin. It talked to him the whole day, everywhere he went even to work. The creature might be putting some spell on him. It told him that it will return to its home and return to meet him by the following day. And with its smile and awkwardly looking pose, it vanished before his eyes. He waited for tomorrow.

Tomorrow came bringing its hot ball of fire at the sky during morning, waiting for the creature to appear, he waited and waited, kept thinking if the creature will come or will just forever disappear like what it did for the past years. Noon came, the hot ball of fire stood higher as before bringing heat to the ground. He went to work not thinking about the creature and went to the office to cool down. Then the creature made signs like questioning the boy to meet it at a place... a place in which fantasies are born to live. It drew a map on where he could meet the creature. He looked at the map, "X marks the spot".

He immediately went down to the area which was marked X in the map, and when he arrived on that place, he saw a big gate which looks like it was made centuries ago. Now his heart kept beating fast, he was so excited, yet scared, feeling the same emotions, mixed emotions. He waited about for five, tick tock tick tock, until it was about ten.. Then the Creature appeared before the gate and entered the dimension of reality. He could see it's glassy stare so clearly but was so scared to look directly at them. Its cloth wrapped within its body was so clean and soft as if he could touch them, then the creature opened its mouth, its cherry colored LIPS and talked in a clear vocally language, forgetting that it was a voice he heard a long time ago. They talked for about a time in which time itself doesn't matter. As the skies turned gray, both decided to go home to their different worlds. But before saying goodbye, in an unexpected move, the Creature put its cherry on his mouth as a sign they would soon have the conversation again in another place where HE and IT only knows. As they went to the gate of Fantasy, the little creature waved goodbye and vanished leaving him with a smile and a red mark on his chest.

I have to say with those pouting lips and very wide grin, what can we expect from this HALLOWEEN organizers ??

It was October 31, 2009 evening, the streets were silent, the neighborhood is filled with posters of scary looking pumpkins, indeed it is HALLOWEEN.

Children running fast to their homes not because of fright itself but they suit up costumes of scary beings to become fright themselves. Each dressed of monsters of different races in which us humans do not want to discover. And now the lights were dimmed and gates of each houses opened, bringing out scary figures coming out of their doors bringing out big bags of plastic and waiting for the monsters to come and get their bloody treats. When the leader of the monster pack declared halloween open, the little monsters ran to the gates facing different scary figures, and roared " TRICK OR TREAT".

With this, the scary figures handed out the bloody treats which we call CANDIES into the young monsters and the young monsters roared THANK YOU back to the scary figures.

Indeed, the Sangguniang Kabataan proved that even in this kind of program, values can still be earned by teaching this young children on how to say thank you in the things they received. They were able to prove that in all programs values must be well taught even in the most simple manner.

Ofcourse, this would not be possible without the help of all the neighbors of this Barangay including the City Vice Mayor himself gave the biggest donation of all. Thats why the the SK Federation thank the persons who made this cute children spread their batty wings during halloween's eve.

SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF ILOILO CITY

FROM UNNOTICEABLE TO HONORABLE

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Iloilo City, at first they all started as normal individuals, well what the author means is as normal kids, just hanging out with friends, going out to malls and other places, cracking jokes, go to nightclubs and dance their way the whole night.

But with just the term ELECTION, their lives changed alot, once a normal kid asking for allowance from their parents, asking for budget from their friends. Now, they are the ones who earn and they are the ones who are being asked " LIBRE DA B". Also with this term, they are not anymore the followers but leaders of their respective Barangays and Districts.

With just a wink of an eye, those we call teens are known as honorables and display as role models to the youth which they represent.

CONTROVERSY

The SK's were known for their sports and youth activities but it is also the reason why the Government wants to abolish such INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATIONS, saying Education must be prioritized. But not all the Gov't Politicians agree to this manner as they believe, solution is not abolition.

As what the author says " Why burn the whole house with a broken ceiling?, why not fix it?"

SK's were also described as a training ground for youngsters to become corrupt Politicians as what the authors of Abolition Bills say. But other politicians say that the young learns from the older ones, so if abolish the SK because of corruption, why not start with the politicians with higher positions??

PURPOSE

The Sangguniang Kabataan is a training ground for young people to become good leaders, if not, better leaders of our country, so many of our good leaders of today were SK's of the past. With their knowledge on how they lead during their past, they were able to lead the people of today.

WITH JUST A CONCERN

SK's we know are our classmates, friends, or sometimes relatives. So what do we really expect from among them? Great leadership, great dictions, greats appeals? Is it somewhere among the choices which applies to our first impression towards them? Or does it starts with letter L if based on our real language. Does the word "LIBRE" comes through one's mind?

May be with a brief discussion, this would help, can we ask ourselves did the SK's run to enter such fame in which they too can make theirselves popular in a way everyone will ask for their earnings in exchange for friendship and cooperation? or did the SK's run to help their people in their respective barangays and show that they have the will to become such great leaders no matter how the expense is?

With some researches, an earning of an SK is not enough to do such term, from the expenses they make for each programs, and solicitations they give to their people.

There is indeed no perfectionist in this world not even these youth leaders cannot own a tree which bears unlimited money to have friends to understand their situation.

Eyes are windows in which we should look deeper into. Friendship in a way where trust and help even without financial needs has to offer. Friendship in a way is glad to be earned in a normal way and not look into one's differences, but see it as an equality of such.
